Curl Pattern
The natural shape your hair forms as it grows — from waves, curls to coils. Understanding your curl pattern can help you choose the right haircut, styling techniques, and products that work best for your hair naturally.
Porosity
Your hair's ability to absorb and retain moisture. Low porosity hair resists moisture (needs heat to open the cuticle), while high porosity hair absorbs moisture quickly but loses it just as fast.
Density
Refers to how closely your hair strands are packed together on your scalp. Hair density can be thin, medium, or thick, and it dictates how much product you might need.
Frizz
Often a sign of dehydration or disrupted curl clumps. Frizz is just a curl waiting for the right moisture, technique, and styling products to find its shape.
Diffusing
A blow-drying technique using a diffuser attachment to disperse air gently around the curls. It speeds up drying time while enhancing volume and minimizing frizz.
