Specialised In Loved Curls
Moving to Australia changed my life in many ways. New country, new culture, new rhythm
of living. And in the middle of all that change, I realised that if I was already changing so
much, why not change my relationship with my hair too?
For more than 15 years, I fought my natural texture. Straightening it constantly, trying to
control it. In Australia’s humidity, that fight became exhausting and pointless. One day, I
decided to stop — and finally embrace my curls.

Embracing my natural hair wasn’t easy. I didn’t know how to care for it, and finding
someone who truly understood my journey felt impossible. That feeling of being lost and
unseen later became one of the strongest reasons behind Silc.

Everything changed when I went back to my roots and learned from Brazilian curl
specialists. Brazil is where curls are lived every day, where texture is celebrated and
understood culturally and emotionally. That education changed my hair — and my life.

What started as personal healing became a purpose. I wanted to help other women who
had spent years fighting their hair and show them that embracing their natural texture could
make life easier.

Silc started small, working from home with a portable basin and a clear focus on education,
patience, and long-term hair health. Slowly, Silc grew into a trusted, multicultural
community.

Over four years and beyond, I have continuously invested in education. Brazil has always
been my foundation, learning from Bianca Hulman, Julia Vieira, and DevaCurl Academy.
In 2025, I completed two major trainings: the world-recognised Cado Cut method and an
advanced curl course in Paris, France. I continue to travel, observe, assist, and learn.

Being a curl specialist isn’t about trends — it’s about responsibility. Responsibility to your
hair, your story, and your trust.

Curls don’t need complicated routines — they need the right foundation. Understanding
creates confidence, and embracing your natural hair can be deeply healing.
